Still Writing
I now get why people quit their day jobs to write. It's not easy to preach every week plus take care of a couple other things I do and finish this book. But soon. I pray.

Going on Sabbatical; Finishing Book
The first chapters were turned in yesterday and God-willing, we'll be done soon.
The first lines:
This book is for churchy people. For some of you, it will be old news. Others may find the ideas disturbingly unfamiliar.
I'm writing with my Aunt Jane in mind.

Vacation is for Writing
No drinks with umbrellas by the pool.
No pool.
No drinks with or without umbrellas.
Just trying to finish the book this week. Thanks for checking in.

Wiki Wiki
Like a Hawaiian bus plowing past Punahou High School, I am plowing through chapters of a book I'm writing for Alban. The book will be called WikiChurch: How Collaboration is Changing the Christian Community which will clearly not threaten our favorite best-selling authors. The identified audience: Institutional Church People who want to make the necessary shifts for being the 21st Century Church.
De facto audience: Over-churched Geeks?
My genuine hope is that this will help all of us who love the church and seek to follow Jesus within a church community. And speaking of community . . .
it's clearly ridiculous to write a book called wikichurch alone. If you are willing and interested in sharing your own collaborative experiences, I'd love to include them in this project if appropriate. This means you can:
1) make comments on this temporary blog for the world to see, or
2) email me so that I will have your real name, context, and contact information for further followup.
Thanks.
First Question:
How does your spiritual community use popular culture as a tool for ministry?
